In addition to all that, Mr. Marx negotiated a major distribution deal with one of the most powerful and broad distribution channels in the Industry, Sony Entertainment. Their broad global reach enables Big Deal Records to expose our artists to worldwide audiences on a very sophisticated and effective level. Henry Marx’s business history spans over 40 years in the independent record and publishing industry.
Under The Music Force (BMI) and Full Force (ASCAP) Publishing entities, he has built several successful independent record labels and broadened his own reach into Europe, and Japan, receiving many Gold and Platinum awards in the US, Canada, Europe, and achieving many multi-level gold and platinum Crystal Awards in Japan (a rare feat for any independent label. His expansive career has included representation of such Industry giants as Bobby Caldwell, Laura Branigan and Tower of Power, Garry Glenn just to name a few.
Big Deal Records has a history of musical diversity. We are not a one format label. Our label releases music that spans multiple genres including Jazz, R&B, Pop, Country, Hip Hop, Alternative Dance, and Instrumental music. With offices in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, our team of industry professionals are able to follow trends and better understand our target audiences. Bobby Caldwell’s ‘What You Won’t Do for Love’ is featured in the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Commercial. The auto giant’s campaign for the crossover SUV is quite appealing to the eyes and the ears. Sporting a sexy theme and targeting an upscale market, Mitsubishi serenades its audience with Bobby Caldwell’s classic ‘What You Won’t Do For Love’ using a big city backdrop softly lit under the moonlight.
The Mitsubishi commercial is just the latest in a long line of usages for ‘What You Won’t Do for Love,’ which has been covered and sampled over the years by Tupac Shakur (#1 Rap, Gold Single), Aretha Franklin, Aaliyah, Michael Bolton, Dionne Warwick and many other exceptional artists.
