Joel had an illustrious career in the music industry having worked with such legendary artists as: Roberta Flack, Max Roach, Yusef Lateef, Willy DeVille, the Neville Brothers, Herbie Mann, Les McCann, Eddie Harris, Mose Allison, Jimmy Scott and Rahsaan Roland Kirk.
